Welcome to my blog. I started this blog to entertain conversations about topics usually related to politics, economics, and/or climate change.

I am Lucien Antonio Vargas Giagnocavo, a young professional with academic training in Carlos III University of Madrid, where I completed a bachelor degree in Economics, and the Barcelona School of Economics, where I completed a Master’s in Economic Analysis, specializing in Energy Economics and Climate Macroeconomics.

Currently, I am a Trainee at the European Central Bank, more specifically at the Monetary Policy Strategy Division, where I will be working on internal analyses for the Governing Council. Previously, I was a Junior Economist at the Research Department of BBVA, where I worked on internal climate-macroeconomic risk scenarios, geospatial analyses of physical risks associated with climate change, and econometric modelling to estimate the economic implications of climate policies.
